In May 2021, I completed the Board Potentials programme at the Nationaal Register. For my final assignment, I conducted research into the question: “Is there sufficient knowledge at board level (Executive Board, Supervisory Board, and Board of Trustees) when it comes to overseeing artificial intelligence (AI), algorithms, and digital humans?” The conclusion was that this is not yet the case.
To help address this, I created a practical overview with key terms and potential questions to support board members in getting started.
As a‘next-generation’ supervisory board member, (among others at POA (Publieke Omroep Amsterdam) my focus is on the three Ds: digitalisation, Diversity, and “Duurzaamheid” (Sustainability).
